Advent At Vinland
November 30 – First Sunday in Advent
The peaceful season of Advent begins on Sunday November 30. We will light the advent wreath each Sunday during worship as we journey to Christmas, focusing on the peace, hope, love and joy that fill our lives because of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Wednesdays, Dec. 3, 10, 17 6pm, soup Supper and 7pm Worship
During the season we gather each Wednesday at 6pm for a delicious meal of soups and bread and good conversation. We then retreat to the sanctuary at 7pm for the beautiful Holden Evening Vespers service illuminated by candlelight.
It is our tradition to have an Alternative Christmas Market during Advent. You can purchase gifts with a double purpose – a gift that brings joy both to the recipient and sustainable income to the producer. This year we feature Children of the Nations, Heifer International, Church World Services and the Kitsap County Humane Society. You can purchase “living gifts” such as ducks or chicks, support a child in a third world country, buy fair-traded coffee, tea or chocolate or purchase beautiful handmade gifts from around the world. The Market will be open on Sundays and Wednesday evenings during Advent.

On December 21 our Vinland Festival Singers and musicians will gift us with beautiful music and scripture readings during both worship services.

New Musical Group at Vinland
Love to sing, but aren't able to commit to EVERY WEEK? Join Vinland's newest musical group, The Vinland Festival Singers!
To provide an opportunity for more people to share their love of music with the congregation, a new singing group is forming! They will sing at single unity services and during church holidays. Folks from 8 to 80+ are welcome to blend their voices in praise to God. Michael Cotier is the contact person for the group. He will plan musical selections, set the rehearsal times and direct the group. This is an exciting new opportunity for all of us. Please talk to Michael about rehearsal commitments. He is at worship every Sunday.
