I have been the pastor at Vinland since 2000.  I have a passion for preaching, teaching and leading mission trips.  As pastor, my mission is to help people encounter and experience the love of God in Jesus Christ. 

I enjoy basketball and biking, listening to National Public Radio, visiting over good coffee and talking theology and politics.  I take great pride and pleasure in my family, my wife Elizabeth, 5-year old daughter Caroline and 4-year old son Mar,  I’ve traveled extensively overseas (never found a country I did not love) and will be touring Israel and Jordan in November of 2008.

I have a Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Mn.  I’ve served as an associate pastor at Immanuel Lutheran in Silverton, OR and was co-pastor at Christ Lutheran in Edmonds, specializing in youth ministry.
