Part of our mission statement at Vinland calls us to be Rooted in the Word…the word of God. We have chosen to follow the example set by the ELCA to become more fluent in the first language of faith, the language of scripture.
Join the growing number of Vinlanders who are committing to daily Bible reading beginning January 1, 2009. Bibles are available for purchase that are specially formatted so that you can easily read through the whole Bible in one year…or two years – the choice is yours. The reading schedule is available from Marsha or through the following links: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December. The reading list that comes up for each month has the date ("01", "02" etc.) to the left of the verses. These dates are links to a page that has the passages for that day so you can read them online if you prefer.
There will be opportunities to gather once a month and discuss what we have been reading together, as well as, access to our Take Time in '09 blog for ongoing discussions on the internet.
