Small Groups at Vinland

 

There are many groups meeting for a variety of reasons.  You are always welcome to join.  Being part of a small group is a great way to become involved in service as well as study and fellowship.

Women of Vinland
Meet on the THIRD Wednesday of each month in the Social Hall from 10am-Noon. They have devotions, Bible Study, a meeting and lunch. Contact:  Clara Rose, 779-5025

Saturday Women’s Breakfast
Meets on the SECOND Saturday of each month at Sheila's Cafe on the waterfront in downtown Poulsbo at 8:30am. Contact: Sherry Gutierrez, 698-4471

Quilters
Meet on the SECOND and FOURTH Tuesday of each month at church from 9am. They piece quilts for Lutheran World Relief.  Plenty of coffee and lunch! Contact: Anita Puzon, 697-1146

Women of Grace
Meet on the FIRST and THIRD Mondays of each month at church at 7pm. This is a group of mixed-age women, most of whom still work outside the home.  They gather for prayer, support and discussion. Contact:  Marsha Wright, 779-9588

Youth Groups
During the school year, junior and senior high youth meet at the church for fun, fellowship, and "deep" conversation on Wednesday nights. Monday nights, during the school year, senior highers meet at Alyssa's home for Bible Study. "Bonfire" happens Wednesday nites at Lutherhaven during the summer months. Contact:  Alyssa, 779-3428

New Song Singers
People who love to sing or play instruments lead the singing at the 8:30 "New Song Worship Service." Practice Saturdays at 10am     Contact: Rich Wendt 297-3015

Choir
Our traditional choir sings an anthem during the 10:30 service and leads the worship with their voices. Practice 7pm on Wednesdays .    Contact: Mike Cotier, 373-6337

Men’s Saturday Breakfast
Men of all ages gather at the church on the FOURTH Saturday of each month, at 8am, to eat and talk     Contact: Pastor Chuck, 779-3428

Senior Lunch Bunch
A lively group of "seniors' meet on the first Monday of every month to visit, enjoy a good lunch (restaurant or at church) and discuss a question or topic of the month. Contact: Pastor Chuck, 779-3428

Pinochle
Singles and couples come together for a potluck meal and a rousing evening of pinochle on the thrid Friday of the month.  Hosts rotate and they take the summer off. Contact: Sharon Schmid, 779-2944

Busy Moms
Meet EVERY Monday at church from 9:15 to 10:45. All moms of school-age and younger children are welcome to join in at any time.  They gather for prayer, study and fellowship.  Excellent child care provided. Contact:  Marsha Wright, 779-3428

Play Group
All moms and their kids gather for time to visit and watch their kids play.  Forms friendships between the moms and between the kids. Location varies.
