Let’s eat! Food in the Bible Like Vinlanders enjoy eating together, so did the folks in the bible. For the rest of the summer, Aug. 8-Sept. 5, we will look at some of the great stories in the bible that have to do with food. From manna to Zacchaeus, we will celebrate how food brings us together and how God feeds us each and every week. Treats each week!
August 8 – Exodus 16: 1-8 and John 6: 24-35
Theme: Manna from heaven – but don’t store it, or it will rot
August 15 – Rick’s last Sunday – boo hoo!

Theme: Food multiplies! Elijah and the widow & the feeding of the 5000
August 22 – Micah 6: 6-8 & Luke 19: 1-10
Theme: Zacchaeus – a wee little man with a big and changed heart. Funny how a meal can do that…..
August 29 – Exodus 12: 43–51 & Mark 6: 12-27a
Theme: The Passover and the Last Supper – The promises we receive as we eat together each week
September 5 – Jeremiah 11: 1-5 & John 2: 1-11
Theme: Let’s Party! The wedding at Cana and saving the best for last.
